Columbus, Ohio
Health and Enrollment Fair
Grace Apostolic Church, 1743 E. Lakeview Avenue
August 19, 2006, 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.
The Grace Apostolic Mission is sponsoring Let's Get Movin', a fun-filled day of fitness designed for women of all ages. Participants can enroll their eligible kids in Healthy Start, obtain free health screenings, and take part in fitness activities including basketball, jump rope, aerobics, Pilates and more.

Reno, Nevada
Media Event - Television Program
KTVN News Channel 2
August 14, 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
On August 14 from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., KTVN Channel 2 CBS in Reno will include coverage of the Back-to-School Campaign during its "Ask the Doctor" program, and will include the Nevada Covering Kids & Families coalition coordinator as a featured guest. Viewer calls are welcome and encouraged.

Cass and Fulton Counties, Indiana
Outreach Activity - School-Based Outreach
Local Elementary Schools
The local Covering Kids & Families coalition will hand out eligibility materials, answer questions and help eligible families enroll in Hoosier Healthwise during the local elementary schools' back-to-school registrations.

Des Moines, Iowa
Outreach Activity - Table at State Fair
Iowa State Fairgrounds
The coalition will also have a presence at one of the largest events in Iowa: the state fair, attended by more than one million people. From August 10-20, there will be continuous outreach and enrollment opportunities at the Iowa Department of Public Health booth, which enjoys high traffic thanks to its location in the fair's only air-conditioned building. Trained staffers will provide applications and support along with giveaways such as Hawk-i (Iowa's CHIP program) cups and magnets. A computer kiosk will be available for online registration.

Outreach Event - Major League Soccer Children's Health Care Coverage Days
Major League Soccer Stadiums
Major League Soccer (MLS) is once again a national partner for the 2006 Covering Kids & Families Back-to-School Campaign. MLS teams across the country will host "Children's Health Care Coverage Days" throughout the Back-to-School season, play Covering Kids & Families PSAs during halftime, and distribute materials during games. Wilmington, Delaware
Outreach Activity - Partnership with Local Baseball Team
Wilmington Blue Rocks Field
The Wilmington Blue Rocks Minor League baseball team will distribute spiral notebooks and Delaware Covering Kids & Families staff will hand out rulers, pencils and Delaware Healthy Children information to families attending the game.

Auburn, Washington
Outreach Event - Latina Health Fair
Grace Community Church, 1320 Auburn Way
King County will hold a health fair tailored to Spanish-speaking women and families that will provide health screenings, Medicaid application assistance, children's activities and more.

LaCrosse, Wisconsin
Outreach Activity - School Supply Distribution
Citywide
The La Crosse Community Liaison Program, Salvation Army, and Optimist Club will join forces to distribute school supplies, backpacks and health information to families in need.
