Utah Covering Kids & Families Initiative

Grant Overview
The vision of the Utah Covering Kids & Families Project is to enroll all eligible children and adults in Medicaid or CHIP and keep them enrolled for as long as they are eligible. The Coalition will work to 1) increase awareness among the public and policy-makers of the need for health care coverage for families, 2) educate policy-makers about the benefit of health care coverage, 3) remove institutional obstacles to enrollment and retention, and 4) address issues of cultural competency. The goal is to institutionalize system changes statewide beyond the pilot projects that will be sustainable and will simplify enrollment and facilitate retention.
