Northeast Florida (NEFL) Coalition

Grant Overview
The Northeast Florida (NEFL) Coalition targets three inner-city Jacksonville neighborhoods with an estimated 5,400 eligible, uninsured children. Low income and educational attainment and economic status contribute to risk status for families. The NEFL strategies include 1) establishing Neighborhood Health Committees to direct and coordinate community participation in meeting Florida Covering Kids enrollment, education, and retention goals and 2) establishing a sustainable community health resource group as an information and referral source for neighborhoods.
