Alaska Primary Care Association

Grant Overview
The Alaska Primary Care Association project will target Alaska's ethnically and culturally diverse populations whose primary language is not English. Community Connection Advocates (CCA) representing the largest pocket populations will work in hub communities around the state. Services will include culturally competent outreach, education, and information dissemination to the target communities. Translation services will be provided and educational materials will be produced into the seven major languages spoken by the target populations around the state (Year 2). Sustainability efforts will include translated materials that can be updated, and incorporating CCA activity into communities.
